Born into a family of artists whose wealth was measured in the spirit of love and family unity rather than any form of financial or material value, Kenneth realized at a very early age that he was a natural artist. He would spend hours in plein-air painting the unforgettable California nature scenes honing his abilities. The nurturing of a latent talent later blossomed as a great passion conjuring the most beautiful of images from paint onto canvas. Getting a personal training and guidance from both of artists parents Kenneth has expressed the purity of breathtaking execution in all seven disciplines of the body of the landscapes studies raising the bar to a higher quality fine art.

Kenneth Halvorsen has been painting all of his life, with over 50 years of professional art worldwide participation. At the age of 19 he received a scholarship from the Laguna Beach School of Art while studying oils with the renowned, plein air artist Ray Strong (1905-2006) in Santa Barbara, CA. At that point Kenneth knew he would forever covered in paint. He helped support his self in college by selling his paintings. By the time he graduated, Halvorsen was represented by galleries in California, Arizona, Illinois and Alaska.

He has participated in numerous Plein Air Exhibitions, 21 Annual Members Shows and over 40 Paint-out Shows across the United States and on 5 different islands for Plein Air Painters of Hawaii. In August 2003, International Artist Magazine featured Halvorsen and Plein Air Painters of California in a 6 page article featuring Kenneth Halvorsen Fine Art.

His work is collected by Hollywood Studios Gallery who lease the paintings to the Hollywood film industry. They have supplied paintings in countless films such as "Million Dollar Baby ". Kenneth Halvorsen's paintings are in private and corporate collections around the world.
